The aim of this work to describe Information and Communication Technologies used in the 2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum. This thesis provides a description of referendums in the UK. Following is the general description of Information and Communication Technologies. The role of AggregateIQ in the 2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum is explained. The description of the combination of Big Data and Psychographics is provided, additionally, their role in the 2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum.is explained. Furthermore, the possible effect of the Information and Communication Technologies on later democratic elections is discussed.

Vliv firmy Cambridge Analytica na průběh a výsledky voleb ve vybraných zemích

Práce se věnuje firmě Cambridge Analytica a jejímu působení v rámci politických voleb v několika zemích. V teoretické části vysvětluje fenomény důležité k pochopení praktické části. V první části se věnuje internetu, novým médiím, webu 2.0 i sociálním sítím v čele s Facebookem. Dotýká se politického marketingu a studuje odborné pojmy jako konfirmační zkreslení či komnata ozvěn. Praktická část představuje hlavního aktéra práce, Cambridge Analyticu, a následně plynule míří za jejími hlavními kauzami, tedy prezidentskými volbami v USA v roce 2016 a referendu o vystoupení Spojeného království z EU, které se konalo v témže roce. V další fázi se práce zaměřuje na ožehavé případy ovlivnění prezidentských voleb v Keni a Nigérii a dotýká se také možného ovlivnění voleb v České republice, které se však dosud neprokázalo.
